OVIWCE research examines what sustains FGM—and what can change it.

The original article studies male protégés of traditional circumcisers in Ibadan North. It reports that education improved knowledge, while cultural and social influences remained important drivers of the practice.

Research contribution: menstrual-product tax advocacy in four countries

OVIWCE contributed Nigerian stakeholder insight through Olayinka Adebajo to Susan Fox’s case study on menstrual-product tax advocacy in Bangladesh, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa. The Gates-funded report lists him among its Nigeria contributors.

OVIWCE recognized in research on online rape discourse in Nigeria

An exploratory study of social-media discourse identified OVIWCE among leading accounts in the conversation and described it as the active women’s-rights advocacy organization in that group.
